DC Jack Repairs
Also known as Power Jack Repairs, DC Jack Repairs, Power Repairs, etc. We do a ton of DC Jack Repairs right here in Dallas. While it’s not a tremendously complex job, it is a delicate one. In most instances the technician will have to completely pull apart the computer, and then apply a very hot soldering gun to your computer. The last thing you want is someone who is completely inexperienced trying to learn about soldering while working on your DC Jack.
What you also have to watch out for is people who are “scared” of the job, who will tell you that the motherboard needs to be replaced. Some national firms as a rule tell computer owners that they should probably replace their laptop, because the motherboard is bad. Their legitimacy would be better if they weren’t already affiliated with a major electronic store.
LCD Repairs
This seems to be something we deal with all the time as well. We see all kinds of laptop LCD Replacements in Dallas. Sometimes it’s just a matter of the computer being dropped, and the screen cracking. But, other times just over time the LCD can stop working for one reason or another. The problem is that laptop screens can be very expensive. It seems that we get these kind of requests quite a bit. Problems with laptop keyboards, where a key will become dislodged or stop working. The problem is that it’s not easy to repair a laptop keyboard, they never work that well again, plus the keyboards are fairly inexpensive. You can pick up a laptop keyboard for $15-40, which isn’t all that bad all things considered.
